States, counties, cities and utility companies struggle to capture information when structures that they own along the roadway are damaged. After years of research and other attempts to capture this information, they’re now willing to pay for this information to be reported to them. As it turns out, wrecker drivers are frequently the first people on the scene and are in the best position to capture this information. These entities lose millions of dollars of year in damaged property and now they’re asking for your help.
It’s free to download the EnableDOT app. Once that’s downloaded, simply open it and complete your profile. When you arrive at your next pick up and there’s damage to an object on the side of road, just open the app and follow the prompts. Information can be captured via data entry or a series of pictures. It’s very simple to report the incident via the app.
One part of completing your profile is telling EnableDOT how you want paid. You can select to be paid via pay pal or a live check. Pay Pal payments come in a matter of days once the report has been validated. If you do not have a Pay Pal account, the app can assist with setting you one up. If you prefer, a live check can be sent to you on a monthly basis.
Surprisingly, no. Many people falsely assume that governments and utility companies already have this information. But the reality is that the success rate for capturing this information through traditional methods is grossly inadequate. They really do need your help!
The average time to open the app and complete the report is between 2 and 4 minutes. It’s really great money for the few minutes you’ll spend!
If a Pay Pal account is selected, payment for the report occurs within 48 – 72 hours once the report data has been validated. Validation can take 2 to 3 business days. If a live check option is selected, payment is made within 30 days of report and data validation.
